After City Manager Mike Cain was abruptly terminated by the Boyne City Commission, Editor Jim Baumann was invited to interview with WMKT-WMBN radio in Petoskey. This interview spread the word about Boyne Citizen and demonstrates its impact.

Northern Michigan newspaper editor speaks on “ghost newsrooms”
The editor who oversaw many northern Michigan newspapers, including the Petoskey News-Review and the Cheboygan Daily Tribune, is out of a job. Sarah Leach was fired in late April by executives at parent company Gannett Co. . . .
